Princeton senior running back Jordan Hall scored the game-winning touchdown against Lakota West and landed a nomination for tri-state Player of the Week honors.
TriStateFootball.com nominated Hall for the Week 5 Mella Window & Carpet Cleaning Player of the Week on Sunday, Sept. 20. He is one of 20 nominees from across Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana. Fans can vote once per hour, per IP address, through Wednesday, Sept. 23, at noon.
Hall carried 13 times for 83 yards and three touchdowns and added 27 receiving yards in Princeton's 27-24 victory over Lakota West on Friday, Sept. 18, at Lockland's Roettger Field. His 3-yard scoring run with 3:20 left in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference.
The Vikings stayed unbeaten at 5-0. Lakota West entered the game at 4-0 in what the Dayton Daily News called "a battle of Greater Miami Conference powers."
The two programs have won or shared the GMC title each of the past six seasons.
Hall opened the scoring with a 49-yard touchdown run that gave Princeton a 7-3 lead with 9:25 left in the second quarter, according to TriStateFootball.com's live game coverage on X. He put Princeton ahead for good with his third touchdown of the night.
Despite forcing six turnovers, Lakota West could not convert the takeaways into enough points. Firebirds head coach Tom Bolden told the Dayton Daily News that his team "just wasted too many opportunities."
Hall has produced all season for head coach Andre Parker's squad. Through the first four games, he scored 11 touchdowns on just 43 offensive touches, according to a WLWT preview published Sept. 15. In Week 1, he rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-24 win over Moeller. Two weeks later, he ran for 100 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries in a 48-6 rout of Colerain.
A player can win the award only once per season and may be nominated a maximum of three times. Weekly winners receive a commemorative plaque and are recognized at the TriStateFootball.com Year in Review Show.
