Vice President JD Vance will headline a Republican midterm rally at the Sharonville Convention Center on Wednesday, Oct. 21, his first Greater Cincinnati rally of this midterm campaign.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. The program begins at 11:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, though attendees must reserve tickets in advance, with a limit of four per person, according to WLWT, which reported the rally details.

The Ohio Republican Party announced the event but has not confirmed the full speaker lineup beyond Vance. A promotional email the party sent Oct. 18 featured an image of Sen. Jon Husted prominently, WLWT reported.

Fox 19 reported that Vance will champion Husted and gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy at the rally. WCPO also listed Ramaswamy as a featured speaker.

The rally carries a hometown angle for the Princeton corridor. Ramaswamy was born in Cincinnati and grew up in Evendale, where he attended Princeton local schools. Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex Triantafilou described the connection in a November 2024 WLWT interview: "Vivek Ramaswamy is a Cincinnati kid, you know. (He) grew up in Evendale and went to the Princeton local schools before going on to Saint Xavier High."

Ramaswamy and Vance were classmates at Yale Law School.

Ramaswamy is the Republican nominee for governor, running against Democrat Amy Acton. Husted, who was appointed to fill the U.S. Senate seat Vance vacated when he became vice president, faces former Sen. Sherrod Brown, who lost his seat in 2024 and is seeking to return, in a race that could determine Senate control.

Vance's Sharonville stop follows a string of Republican campaign events across the region. President Donald Trump rallied in Vandalia on Oct. 3, Youngstown on Oct. 12 and Highland Heights, Kentucky, on Saturday, Oct. 17, according to WLWT.

Early voting in Ohio is already underway and ends Nov. 2. Election Day is Nov. 3.
