Princeton junior quarterback Key'Sean Torbert has been nominated for TriStateFootball.com's Week 6 Player of the Week after a 357-yard performance in the Vikings' 48-22 win over Lakota East.
Fan voting is open through noon Wednesday, Sept. 30. Fans can vote once per hour, per IP address.
Torbert completed 15 of 24 passes for 227 yards and a touchdown against the Thunderhawks on Friday, Sept. 25, at Lakota East. He added 130 yards and another score on eight carries, including a 29-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter, according to the Journal-News.
The Vikings are 6-0.
The win kept first-ranked Princeton unbeaten and 5-0 in the Greater Miami Conference, one game ahead of third-ranked Lakota West and ninth-ranked Middletown, according to TriStateFootball.com's rankings.
Princeton piled up 591 yards of total offense, including 341 on the ground. Running back Jordan Hall complemented Torbert with 140 yards and four touchdowns on 15 carries.
Torbert is one of 16 nominees from across Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana. Players can win the award only once per season and be nominated a maximum of three times. Weekly winners receive a plaque and recognition at the TriStateFootball.com Year in Review Show.
