Princeton families with student-athletes in grades 7 through 12 must attend the Fall Athletic Preseason Parent Meeting on July 28, at Matthews Auditorium in Princeton High School, or their children cannot participate in fall sports.

The mandatory meeting runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at 150 Viking Way, Cincinnati, OH 45246. Student-athletes are encouraged to attend alongside a parent or guardian, according to Princeton Athletics.

The department posted the requirement on its official account (@VikeNation) on July 23, calling it a reminder for all families planning fall sports participation. The Princeton City Schools Instagram account (@pcsdvikings) first announced the meeting details on July 6.

What the meeting covers

According to the PCSDVikings Instagram post, the session will address athletic expectations, eligibility requirements, health and safety procedures, season information, and communication with coaches and athletic staff.

Fall season start dates

Football and girls tennis begin practice August 10. All other fall sports start August 17, according to the PCSDVikings Instagram post.

That gives families less than two weeks between the meeting and the first practices.

Other requirements still apply

The mandatory parent meeting is one of several compliance steps for Princeton student-athletes. Families also need a current OHSAA physical and updated Final Forms paperwork for the 2026-27 school year. The district's Final Forms portal is at princeton-oh.finalforms.com.

OHSAA physicals were offered at the Student-Based Health Center in Viking Village on four dates this summer, most recently July 23. Families who missed those dates will need to arrange a physical through their own provider. The cost at the school-based clinic was $10 cash or an insurance card.

Who this affects

Princeton City Schools serves families across Evendale, Woodlawn, Sharonville, and Springdale. Athletic Director Joe Roberts oversees the department.
