Princeton High School senior running back Jordan Hall verbally committed to Penn State on Saturday, Oct. 24, choosing the Nittany Lions over Ohio State and Missouri.
The commitment caps a breakout season for Hall, who has rushed for 919 yards and 21 touchdowns while helping the Vikings finish the regular season 10-0. He also has 10 receptions for 177 yards and two receiving touchdowns, according to WCPO.
Hall is ranked the No. 32 prospect in Ohio and the No. 60 running back nationally in the 2027 class by the 247Sports Composite. He is listed at 5-foot-10.5 and 205 pounds.
The path to Penn State moved fast. Hall had been committed to Miami (Ohio) before his recruitment surged late in the summer. Penn State was the first Power Four program to offer him, on Aug. 21, Nittany Sports Now reported. Wake Forest, Cincinnati and Maryland followed within days. Hall decommitted from Miami (Ohio) around early September, and Ohio State offered Sept. 5. Missouri and Louisville extended offers later that month.
Hall visited Penn State on Oct. 10 for the White Out game against USC, witnessing the largest crowd in Beaver Stadium history. Penn State head coach Matt Campbell then visited Hall at Princeton's regular-season finale against Fairfield on Friday, Oct. 23, according to the Penn State Collegian. The next day, Hall announced his commitment.
The Vikings' 38-14 win over Fairfield that night clinched Princeton's third outright Greater Miami Conference (GMC) title in four seasons and its first undefeated regular season since 2023, WCPO reported.
Hall delivered clutch moments throughout the season. In a Sept. 18 thriller against Lakota West, he scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 3-yard run with 3:20 left, finishing with 83 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries in a 27-24 Princeton win, Tri-State Football reported.
Hall joins three-star running back Chukwuma Odoh as the second running back committed to Penn State's 2027 recruiting class, which now has 22 total commitments and ranks in the national top 25 per 247Sports Composite rankings, StateCollege.com reported.
Hall’s verbal commitment is nonbinding. He can sign an athletics aid agreement during the early signing period beginning Dec. 2.
Princeton, ranked No. 1 in the Division I, Region 4 computer points standings, has a first-round bye on Oct. 30. The Vikings host the winner of Middletown or Lebanon on Nov. 6 in a regional quarterfinal.
