Stewart Elementary in Princeton City Schools is inviting staff and students to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Day on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
The district posted the announcement on Tuesday, Sept. 29, on the Stewart Elementary page of its website. Staff and students will celebrate with traditional dress, sports jerseys, and flags of Hispanic countries.
Hispanic students make up 37% of Princeton City School District's enrollment, more than four times the Ohio public school average of 8%, according to Public School Review. The district serves 5,927 students across schools in Evendale, Sharonville, Springdale, Woodlawn and surrounding communities.
The Oct. 14 celebration falls near the end of National Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.
