Sharonville City Council gave first readings to two ordinances Aug. 25, that would authorize Safety-Service Director Jim Lukas to dispose of police department equipment.
Ordinances 2026-36 and 2026-37 appeared as new business on the council's published agenda. The agenda does not specify what type of equipment each ordinance covers, and the full ordinance text has not been published.
No rule-suspension motions were listed, meaning both measures follow Sharonville's standard three-reading process and will need second and third readings at future meetings before a final vote.
The city followed a similar path earlier this year. Council unanimously passed Ordinance 2025-62 on Jan. 27, authorizing Lukas to dispose of two police cruisers that were no longer needed.
Equipment details for the new ordinances have not been made public. Council President Paul Culter presided over the Aug. 25 meeting at the Municipal Building, 10900 Reading Road.
