Sharonville Library plans three-day appreciation celebration

The Sharonville Branch Library is throwing a three-day thank-you party for the community, with a petting zoo, kids' crafts and free treats on the schedule.

Customer Appreciation Days run Sept. 25 through Sept. 27 at the branch at 10980 Thornview Dr. in Sharonville. All events are free.

The Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library is billing the weekend as a chance for neighbors to explore what the branch offers, according to the event listing. Throughout the three days, visitors can spin a "Wonder Wheel" for library swag, work on a sticker mosaic and grab a sweet or savory snack while supplies last.

Each day features a different activity:

Friday, Sept. 25, 4–5 p.m.: Friday Family Fun: Paint a Decorative Birdhouse. Children and teens can drop in for this craft session. Registration is required.
Saturday, Sept. 26, 10 a.m.–noon: Honey Hill Farm Petting Zoo. Open to all ages.
Sunday, Sept. 27, 1–4:30 p.m.: Peaceful Puzzling in the Branch Meeting Room. Drop in, all ages.

Sally Powell founded Honey Hill Farm in 1997 with a single pony named Dolly. The mobile petting zoo now serves roughly 500 events a year across Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Indiana, according to the farm's website.

The celebration comes less than three years after the Sharonville Branch completed a renovation in November 2023. That refresh brought new furniture, shelving, carpet and an expanded children's play area.

The branch, part of the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library system, also runs regular programming including a monthly book club, chess club and storytimes for babies and toddlers.

Families interested in the Friday birdhouse painting session should register through the library's event page. No registration is needed for the petting zoo or puzzle afternoon.
