Lane restrictions on East Kemper Road and Snider Road in Sycamore Township is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Oct. 13, adding another construction zone to a corridor already under work in Springdale.

Sycamore Township announced a pavement milling and resurfacing project on four road segments, according to a notice posted on the Princeton City Schools website on Oct. 8. The work is scheduled to run through Friday, Oct. 30, weather permitting.

The four segments are:

  • East Kemper Road between Grooms Road and Snider Road
  • Snider Road between East Kemper Road and Bridlemaker Lane
  • Baen Road between Deerfield Road and East Kemper Road
  • Northlake Drive between East Kemper Road and Goldcoast Drive

Crews will work 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. At times, East Kemper Road and Snider Road will be reduced to one lane of travel in either direction, according to the notice. The township advised motorists to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.

The notice did not specify whether Baen Road and Northlake Drive will also face lane restrictions during the work.

John R. Jurgensen Company is performing the milling and resurfacing.

The project is separate from a larger East Kemper Road improvement effort already underway in Springdale. That Phase 1 project, between Commons Drive/Century Boulevard and Chesterdale Road, began Aug. 17 and is expected to run through spring 2027. Adleta Construction is handling that work.

The two projects cover different stretches of East Kemper Road under different contractors. Drivers who use the corridor may encounter construction zones from both projects at the same time through the end of October.
