Evendale residents can pick up free leaf bags at the village's new Service Department building starting Saturday, Oct. 3, with six distribution dates running through late October.
The Village of Evendale is handing out bags at 10600 Reading Road on four remaining Saturdays and two Wednesdays. Supplies are limited and distributed first-come, first-served.
Each household can take up to 75 bags. Residents must sign for them and may need to show proof of residency. Only the resident of a given household may pick up that household's bags.
Saturday hours (9 a.m.–1 p.m.):

- Oct. 10
- Oct. 17
- Oct. 24
Wednesday hours (1–7 p.m.):
- Oct. 7
- Oct. 14
The program launched with two September dates, Sept. 19 and Sept. 26, that have already passed.
The distribution site is the village's new Service Department building at 10600 Reading Road, replacing the department's previous location. Residents who haven't visited the new facility should look for the building on the east side of Reading Road near the village's municipal campus.
Once bags are filled, residents should place them curbside in the same spot as their trash can. Rumpke will make only one stop per residence, so bags set anywhere else in the yard will not be collected. Getting the placement right matters: a bag left 20 feet from the trash can spot means it stays on the curb.
