Princeton's girls volleyball team swept Trotwood-Madison in three sets Monday, Sept. 28, winning 25-8, 25-7 and 25-18 at home.

The non-conference victory moved the Vikings to 7-11 overall while their Greater Miami Conference record held at 2-5. The GMC standings page confirmed the set scores and updated record.

Princeton held Trotwood-Madison to single digits in the first two sets. The Rams pushed to 18 in the third.

The win snapped a rough stretch for the Vikings, who had dropped six straight heading into Monday. That skid included a 3-1 home loss to Oak Hills on Thursday, Sept. 24.

In that Oak Hills match, setter Trysta Leach recorded 30 assists, nine digs and two aces, according to MaxPreps. Timaya Crooks added 14 kills, seven digs and three aces, and Alexis Connor contributed 11 digs. No individual stats from the Trotwood-Madison match were available.

Leach earned a nomination for the Cincinnati Enquirer's Ohio big-school volleyball athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 20 after leading Princeton past Purcell Marian with 30 assists, five aces, four kills and four digs.

Princeton's two GMC wins this season came against Colerain on Sept. 8, a 25-16, 25-19, 25-14 sweep, and Middletown on Sept. 10, a 25-16, 25-18, 25-15 sweep. The Vikings' five conference losses have come against Mason, Sycamore, Fairfield, Lakota East and Oak Hills.

The season opened Aug. 25 with a 3-0 loss to Mason by scores of 25-17, 25-8 and 25-12.

Princeton sits at 2-5 in GMC play with the second half of the conference schedule ahead. The Vikings' will play Lakota West Thursday at 7 P.M.
