Families along the Princeton corridor can get free health screenings, safety services and child development resources at Volunteer Park in Golf Manor, just across the Woodlawn border, on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Hamilton County 513Relief is hosting Tots to Teens, a no-cost event running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the park, located at 6450 Wiehe Rd. The event will connect families with organizations focused on maternal and infant health, child development, safety and family support, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

Eleven organizations are expected to participate. The list includes Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Hamilton County Job & Family Services, Cradle Cincinnati, Healthy Moms and Babes, Help Me Grow, 4C for Children, Every Child Succeeds, 1N5, Interact for Health, Humana Health and the Urban League.

On-site health screenings and maternal and infant health support will also be available, according to 513Relief's Facebook page. Admission is free.

Volunteer Park sits directly across from the Golf Manor Village Municipal Building on Wiehe Road. The park is home to Chuck Harmon Field, a recreational baseball diamond built in cooperation with the Cincinnati Reds.

Tots to Teens is part of a broader push by the 513Relief Bus program, which is funded by Hamilton County Commissioners. The mobile unit brings health screenings, social services and economic relief directly into neighborhoods across the county. The program's website says the bus aims to remove barriers like transportation, technology and access that can keep residents from seeking help.

Hamilton County residents have nine chances in September to connect with services through 513Relief Bus stops, the Enquirer reported.

When the program launched in January 2022, Hamilton County Commissioner Stephanie Summerow Dumas described the philosophy behind the effort. "We can't expect them to find us. We are bringing help to them," she said at the time.
