Residents of Sharonville, Evendale, Woodlawn and Springdale have until Monday, Oct. 5, to register to vote or update their voter registration ahead of the general election.

Hamilton County Clerk of Courts Pavan V. Parikh marked National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, Sept. 15, by posting on X that residents should register, change their address or update their name through the Hamilton County Board of Elections. The deadline applies to new registrations and any changes to existing records.

Residents can register or make updates online through the Board of Elections website. The board can also be reached by phone at (513) 946-8500. Its Early Vote Center is at 4700 Smith Road in Norwood, where Director Sherry Poland and Deputy Director Raquel Burgos oversee operations.

Poll workers needed for November

The board is also recruiting poll workers for Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Poll workers earn between $225 and $275, according to a Board of Elections press release published Aug. 11. Training classes will be offered throughout October at the board's Norwood location.

What's on the ballot

Specific local ballot items for Evendale, Woodlawn, Sharonville and Springdale have not yet been published by the Board of Elections. The board's November election information page lists key dates and will be updated as the election approaches.

Under Ohio law, absentee ballots must arrive at the county board of elections before polls close on Election Day to be counted.
