Princeton girls tennis heads to GMC tournament Sept. 24

The Princeton Vikings girls tennis team will compete in the Greater Miami Conference tournament later this month at Mason Middle School.

The GMC announced the tournament for Thursday, Sept. 24, and Saturday, Sept. 26. Play begins at 8 a.m. both days.

Princeton enters the event after splitting two conference matches. The Vikings beat Middletown 4-1 on Monday, Sept. 14, according to the Journal-News. Hamilton edged Princeton 3-2 on Thursday, Sept. 17, the Journal-News reported.

Across the conference, Sycamore topped Hamilton 5-0 and Mason blanked Springboro 5-0 on Sept. 14.

The conference maintains updated girls tennis standings at gmcsports.com.

First serve Thursday, Sept. 24, is at 8 a.m. at Mason Middle School.
