Voters in Woodlawn, Springdale, Evendale and Hamilton County’s portion of Sharonville will find a familiar congressional matchup on their ballots Tuesday, Nov. 3: Republican Rep. Warren Davidson against Democrat Vanessa Enoch.

Election results are pending. This article will be updated as election officials release vote totals.

This is the fifth time Davidson and Enoch have faced each other, as first reported by the Journal-News. Their 2024 contest produced a 25.6-percentage-point margin, the closest since their first race in 2018, the Journal-News reported.

Who is running

Davidson, a Troy Republican, has held the 8th District seat since winning a June 2016 special election to succeed former House Speaker John Boehner, according to his congressional biography. He serves on the House Financial Services and Foreign Affairs committees.

Davidson told the Journal-News he is seeking another term because "commonsense problem-solving is essential." He listed cutting federal spending among his priorities.

Enoch is a management and technology consultant who holds a doctorate in public policy from Union Institute & University, according to her campaign biography. She told the Journal-News her top priority is lowering the cost of living, saying Ohio utility costs have risen "on the backs of ratepayers."

The Cook Political Report rates the district "solid Republican," the Journal-News reported.

Redrawn boundaries

The Ohio Redistricting Commission unanimously approved a new congressional map on Oct. 31, 2025, according to Bricker & Eckler. The map will remain in effect through 2031.

Under the new lines, Democratic-leaning areas north of Cincinnati moved from the 1st District to the 8th, according to Sabato's Crystal Ball. That shift reduced the 8th District's Republican lean from Trump +24 to Trump +16, the Crystal Ball analysis found.

How to vote
