Princeton takes a perfect record and 51 penalties into Friday's Greater Miami Conference showdown at No. 7 Lakota East.

The Vikings (5-0, 4-0 GMC) sit atop the Blitz 5 Top 25 heading into Week 6. But Princeton has been flagged 51 times for 478 yards and carries a minus-5 turnover ratio over its last four games, according to the Blitz 5 rankings published by TriStateFootball.com.

Those numbers nearly caught up with the Vikings on Sept. 18, when they committed six turnovers against No. 3 Lakota West at Lockland's Roettger Field. Five came in the first half. Three came in the opening quarter. Princeton still won 27-24, as we reported Sept. 21.

"We won ugly," head coach Andre Parker told TriStateFootball.com on Sept. 19, after the Lakota West game. "You don't have six turnovers and win a game. You have to be a special team to do that."

Senior quarterback Monsanna Torbert, a four-star recruit committed to Michigan as a defensive back, rushed for a game-high 188 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries against the Firebirds. Jordan Hall added 83 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries, including the game-winning 3-yard score with 3:20 left. Key'Sean Torbert returned a kickoff 68 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.

The rushing attack piled up 279 yards on 32 carries, an 8.7-yard average. That ground game will face another test Friday at Lakota East (4-1, 3-1 GMC), which rolled past Hamilton 37-13 on Sept. 18.

The Thunderhawks have a potent one-two punch of their own. Seniors Braxton Thurman and Carter Jones have combined for 1,336 all-purpose yards through five games, with Thurman accounting for 674 and Jones adding 662, per the Blitz 5 rankings.

Princeton and Lakota West have won or shared the GMC title in each of the past six seasons, according to the Dayton Daily News. The Vikings won it outright last year after sharing with the Firebirds in 2024. A loss to Lakota East would crack open the conference race.
