Sharonville's Cruisin' the Loop returns to downtown Sept. 17 with live music, a classic car display and a food truck on a closed-off stretch of Creek Road.

The monthly event starts at 5 p.m. with music from JD Hughes. The Billy Brown Band, a country act from Hamilton, Ohio, takes the stage at 6 p.m., according to the city's event calendar.

We Do BBQ, a Cincinnati-based food truck specializing in ribs, sandwiches and sides, will serve from the city parking lot at the corner of Main Street and Creek Road.

Expect a road closure. Creek Road will be shut down between Reading Road and the Walnut Street alleyway for the evening. The city's parking map marks yellow spaces for general parking and pink spaces for classic car owners bringing their vehicles to display.

The series runs on the third Thursday of each month through October. At Sharonville City Council's March 31 meeting, resident Tim Schmidt asked whether the event would return in 2026. Anna Ehlerding confirmed the full May-through-October schedule, as listed in the spring Hometown Guide, according to council minutes.

Each month brings a different band and food vendor. The Aug. 20 edition featured The Chuck Taylor's and Fosters Foodies Food Truck.

The Sept. 17 event also comes weeks before construction begins on the Reading Road Streetscape Project, which the city's August mayor's newsletter said is scheduled to start in October. The project will bring infrastructure and appearance upgrades to the Downtown Loop area.
