Evendale launches tax abatement for 400+ homeowners

The State of Ohio approved Evendale's Residential Community Reinvestment Area, giving more than 400 homeowners in the village's older neighborhoods an eight-year, 100% property tax abatement on increased home value from qualifying renovations or new construction starting Saturday, Aug. 1.

Springdale's Century Boulevard lands 155-job incentive deal from council

Springdale City Council unanimously approved incentive agreements and a zoning change for Closets by Design, Shine of Cincinnati, and Ultimate Toys on Century Boulevard, clearing the way for 155 jobs and $3.8 million in annual payroll along the I-75 corridor.

Springdale staff recommends denying Highlift Offroad's bid to keep shipping containers

Springdale city staff is recommending the Board of Zoning Appeals deny Highlift Offroad owner Michael Bailey's request to keep two oversized shipping containers permanently at 271 Northland Blvd., saying the containers have been there without approval since 2022 and granting the variance would give the business a special privilege not available to other property owners.

Study: Land-value tax could cut Hamilton County homeowner bills by 10%

A University of Notre Dame study using Hamilton County Auditor data found that taxing land at four times the rate of buildings would cut the median homeowner's property tax bill by 10%, and a state senator from neighboring Colerain Township is pushing a constitutional amendment that would let corridor communities opt in.
